Today’s Match Sponsors
We are delighted to welcome Nemetschek Group and AIC as today’s joint match day sponsors for our game against Sedgley Park.
It’s a pleasure to welcome both businesses to Billingham Rugby Club for this afternoon’s fixture. Nemetschek Group join us as match sponsors for the first time, while AIC return having supported us previously. We’re grateful to both for their backing and pleased to bring new and returning sponsors together for another afternoon of rugby.
Nemetschek Group provides software for the architecture, engineering, construction and building management industries, alongside solutions for media and entertainment. Its brands help professionals design, build and manage projects, supporting closer collaboration and more sustainable ways of working. We’re delighted to welcome the group to our match day sponsor community and hope today marks the beginning of a rewarding relationship with the club.
AIC provides specialist services for industrial and commercial projects, including thermal insulation, passive fire protection and rope access. Its wider expertise includes trace heating, specialist coatings and inspection services, helping customers improve efficiency and protect their facilities. It’s a pleasure to welcome AIC back, and we greatly appreciate their decision to support another Billingham match day.
The backing of businesses such as Nemetschek Group and AIC makes a real difference to our club. Match sponsorship brings businesses, supporters and our rugby community together, and every sponsor plays a valued part in that support throughout the season.
As we get behind the players against Sedgley Park this afternoon, please also join us in recognising both of today’s sponsors. We hope everyone joining us enjoys a warm Billingham welcome, the atmosphere around the ground and an entertaining contest on the pitch.

Club President's Welcome
JOHN KER
CLUB PRESIDENT
It's my pleasure to welcome all today's visitors to Billingham Rugby Club.
Whether you are a player, a committee representative or a loyal fan we give you whole hearted greetings.
We are well past our centenary now as we enter our fourth season in National 2 North so we are all looking forward to another exciting, yet challenging year as we expect another season of demanding rugby for all our teams.
Billingham RUFC is more than just a rugby club; it's a community built on passion, dedication and family spirit. Whether you're here to play, volunteer or cheer from the sidelines you are part of something special. As a proud and traditional club we hold ourselves to the highest standards both on and off the pitch. Respecting referees, supporting teammates and playing with integrity remain at the heart of who we are.
It's worth noting that to continue on our upward path of progression it would be impossible without the support and generosity of our many supporters and sponsors, to whom we are eternally grateful. On a personal level, I need to thank sincerely all our many volunteers who contribute to the day to day running of the club, both on and off the field. That includes the managers and coaches of all our junior teams, both boys and girls plus of course our embryonic ladies team.
It's impossible in a one off, annual piece to react to weekly events, however Chairman Mark Armstrong and DOR Peter Evans do change their contributions game by game so a special thanks to them.
Finally, I hope you enjoy today's match and your experience here at Greenwood Road and I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

A Massive Challenge, But as We Know, Anything Can Happen at Greenwood Road.
Any relegated side are traditionally strong but Sedgley have maintained their squad and bolstered with some quality from above and some of the best players from national 2. Their results so far have shown they mean business. For us to stand a chance and stay in the fight we need a considerably more consistent performance.
We've hit some high spots so far this season and scored plenty of points but our low spots have been for prolonged periods in games. They can't be the same today. It's a minor miracle we have 3 sides out today, I don't want to point the area out but we have lost several key players in the same position but that has been felt throughout the 3 squads. That said they boys will do a job and we can expect some arrivals back shortly. The 2s and 3s have started brilliantly but also have their toughest challenges today. Big thanks to those lads stepping up in sides also some old boys chipping in.
A special note for 2 players at the opposite end of their career. Dan Burns has been missing from the team sheet this season and the reasons why will be explained in more detail in due course. Thankfully Burnsy is recovering and we will see him down soon. Charlie Evans (our kid) has been a superstar for us this season. He unfortunately requires surgery and it looks season ending. It goes without saying he's got a big future, but this season was his chance to shine and put himself in the limelight. His time will come. Rest up mate.
A massive weekend for us all. We are all going play our brand of rugby and excite you all. Why not. Anything can happen at Greenwood Road!

Ready to Rise to the Challenge.
This weekend brings a huge test as we take on Sedgley Park, a side who have been in excellent form since the start of the season and have shown just how good they are.
Coming off the back of a good result against Otley last time out, the lads have plenty of confidence to take into this fixture. We know the challenge ahead and the quality we’ll be facing, but these are the games you want to be involved in, testing yourself against the best in the league.
We’ll need to bring our energy, battle for every inch and stick together from the first whistle. The lads know what’s required, and we’re ready to get out there and compete.
