Today’s Match Sponsors
Welcome to Estates Roofing
Billingham Rugby Club is delighted to welcome Estates Roofing as match day sponsor for this weekend’s game against Hull Ionians.
Estates Roofing has been a valued sponsor of the club for several years, and we’re delighted to see them extend that support with their first match day sponsorship.
Based in Washington and working across Teesside and the wider North East, Estates Roofing provides domestic roofing services backed by more than 20 years of combined trade experience. From roof repairs and full replacements to pitched roofs, EPDM rubber flat roofs, chimney work, fascias, soffits and guttering, the team helps homeowners protect and maintain their properties.
Led by director Dan Sanderson, the business places quality workmanship, clear communication and customer care at the heart of its approach. Their free, no-obligation roof assessments help customers understand the condition of their roof and the options available, whether that means a targeted repair or a complete replacement.
Their work has already brought them to Billingham, with a local roof replacement among the projects featured on their website. Dan is also a rugby union supporter, so we hope he and the Estates Roofing team feel right at home with us this weekend.
Support from businesses across our region makes a valuable contribution to life at Billingham Rugby Club. We’re grateful to Estates Roofing for their continued backing and for taking on match day sponsorship for the first time.
Please join us in giving the team and their guests a warm Billingham welcome. We hope they enjoy the hospitality, the atmosphere and an excellent afternoon of rugby.
For roofing enquiries, visit estatesroofing.co.uk or call 0191 625 0919.

Club President's Welcome
JOHN KER
CLUB PRESIDENT
It's my pleasure to welcome all today's visitors to Billingham Rugby Club.
Whether you are a player, a committee representative or a loyal fan we give you whole hearted greetings.
We are well past our centenary now as we enter our fourth season in National 2 North so we are all looking forward to another exciting, yet challenging year as we expect another season of demanding rugby for all our teams.
Billingham RUFC is more than just a rugby club; it's a community built on passion, dedication and family spirit. Whether you're here to play, volunteer or cheer from the sidelines you are part of something special. As a proud and traditional club we hold ourselves to the highest standards both on and off the pitch. Respecting referees, supporting teammates and playing with integrity remain at the heart of who we are.
It's worth noting that to continue on our upward path of progression it would be impossible without the support and generosity of our many supporters and sponsors, to whom we are eternally grateful. On a personal level, I need to thank sincerely all our many volunteers who contribute to the day to day running of the club, both on and off the field. That includes the managers and coaches of all our junior teams, both boys and girls plus of course our embryonic ladies team.
It's impossible in a one off, annual piece to react to weekly events, however Chairman Mark Armstrong and DOR Peter Evans do change their contributions game by game so a special thanks to them.
Finally, I hope you enjoy today's match and your experience here at Greenwood Road and I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Reset, Refocus, Rise to the Challenge
After a much needed reset we are back again looking to attack a tough month ahead.
With the week off it was time for some reflection and a chance to step back and review our next steps. Today is a really tough challenge against a very strong National 2 side in Hull Ionians. Always physical, backed up with skill and pace it's a really big game.
For the first time this season we are really blessed with options. You could swap most of that 2nd team with the first team and you wouldn't find a fault. Unfortunately Sunderland have cried off so the 2s won't get the chance to shine today. Back with the first team and we welcome back a few big names to help us pick up a big name scalp.
During the week off I explained the amount of effort required it took to get us here, keep up here, and how much we are going to need to push on and continue our year on year improvement. Let's see if that message has hit home.
I am really excited to see some young talent out on the pitch this weekend, fighting for the cause and putting the effort in which will bring us a W.
As always, make some noise and support the lads.

Familiar Faces, Fresh Determination
This weekend is a big occasion for the club as we welcome Hull Ionians to Billingham for Ex-Players Day.
It’s always special to have so many familiar faces back around the club, and we’re keen to make it a day everyone can enjoy.
For us as a squad, it’s also an important opportunity to get back on track and start turning our performances into results. We know our last outing wasn’t good enough, and we’ve spent the last two weeks working hard on the training pitch to put things right.
We’ve set ourselves high expectations for the remainder of the season, and now it’s about showing that on the pitch. Hull Ionians will be a tough test, but playing at home, in front of our supporters and former players, gives us plenty to get up for. We’re ready to put the work in, compete for every ball and give ourselves the best chance of getting the result we want.
To everyone coming down this weekend, get behind the lads and make it a special occasion.
